Quick answer: An aesthetic mood board puts the colors, textures and moments of one look on a single image. Pick an aesthetic above and the board opens on its palette (five colors) and five notes. Add your own photos, which take the sample photos' places, then download it as a 1000×1500 pin, a phone wallpaper, a 16:9 slide or a page to print. Nothing is uploaded: the board is drawn in your browser.
How to make one
- Pick an aesthetic, from cottagecore to old money. The title, the notes and the colors change to it. Each one is a starting point, not a rule.
- Add your photos, up to nine: your room, your outfit, your project. Tap one on the board to move it, crop it or swap it.
- Make it yours. Rewrite the notes, add or remove colors (any HEX code, or the color picker), and choose the layout: pinboard, grid or collage.
- Save it as a pin to save to your Pinterest board, a phone wallpaper, a desktop slide, or print it on Letter or A4.

Turning the board into Pinterest searches
A mood board is the picture; Pinterest is where you find more of it. Save the board as a pin to a board named for the look, then search Pinterest for the aesthetic plus the room or the piece you are working on, such as "cottagecore kitchen" or "dark academia outfits". The vision board ideas page and the color palette tool help when the photos come first and the aesthetic second.
