How to make a vision board here
- Add your photos: up to nine, from your phone or computer. Pictures of the place, the habit or the feeling you are aiming for work better than stock images of someone else's life. The board starts with sample photos so you can see the layout; yours replace them.
- Choose the parts of your life the board is for. Each one adds two short words or phrases from our vision board ideas generator, and Other words swaps them. Your own words go in the box below and come first.
- Arrange it. Tap a photo on the board to move it earlier or later, replace it or remove it. Drag it to choose which part of the picture shows in its frame.
- Pick the look: Grid (even squares), Collage (the first photo big) or Pinboard (columns at the photos' own heights, like a Pinterest board), plus a background color and a title.
- Download or print it. On a phone, Download opens the share sheet, where "Save Image" puts it in your photos.
Which size to choose
- Pin, 1000×1500: the 2:3 shape Pinterest recommends, to save or share the board.
- Phone, 1080×1920: a 9:16 lock screen, so you see the board every time you pick up your phone.
- Desktop, 1920×1080: a 16:9 wallpaper for a laptop or monitor.
- Print, US Letter (2550×3300) or A4 (2480×3508): 300 dots per inch, sharp enough to pin to a cork board or put in a frame. Print it straight from the page, or download it and take it to a print shop.

What a vision board is, and what it is not
A vision board is a planning and motivation exercise: a single picture of what you want the coming year to hold, placed where you will see it. It is not a promise and it does not make anything happen by itself. People find it useful because a goal you look at every day stays in mind, and choosing the pictures makes you decide what you actually want. Put the concrete things on it, like "Run a 10k" or "Paris in May", next to the feelings. Then write down the first step for each one somewhere you will act on it.
Where to find the pictures
Your own photos are best. For the rest, Pinterest is where most people look. The ideas generator suggests a picture to look for in each part of your life, with the Pinterest search that finds it.
