Quick answer: To log out of Pinterest on a computer, click the chevron-down icon at the top right of the screen, then Log out. In the Pinterest app on Android, an iPhone or an iPad, tap your profile photo at the bottom right, then your profile photo at the top left, scroll down and tap Log out. A business account in the app taps the ellipsis icon at the top right instead of the second photo. To log out your other devices, open Settings › Security › Show sessions on a computer and click End activity on each session you don’t recognize. Pinterest’s help has no single button for every device, and the session list is on a computer only. The tool above gives Pinterest’s steps for your device.

How to log out of Pinterest on a computer

From Log in and out of Pinterest, on the web it takes two clicks: the chevron-down icon (the small arrow) at the top right of your screen, then Log out. Pinterest gives the same two steps for a business account on the web. It also asks you to do it on any computer that isn’t yours: Remember to log out if you're done and on a public or shared device to keep your account secure.

How to sign out of the Pinterest app on Android, iPhone or iPad

In the app, tap your profile photo at the bottom-right corner of the screen, then your profile photo again at the top-left corner, scroll down and tap Log out. The steps are the same on Android and on an iPhone or iPad. Pinterest’s iPhone steps start from your home screen. Logging out of the app logs out that phone or tablet only: you stay logged in anywhere else.

Log out of a Pinterest business account

In the apps, a business account has its own way, which Pinterest gives in one sentence: If you have a business account, you can log out by tapping your profile photo at the bottom-right corner of your screen, then tapping the ellipsis icon at the top-right corner and scrolling down and tapping Log out. On a computer it is the same chevron-down icon and Log out as for a personal account. Not sure which kind you have? The Pinterest Business Account tool shows the difference.

Log out of Pinterest on every device

Pinterest’s help has no one “log out of all devices” button. What it has is a list of your logins, from See recent logins. On a computer, open Settings, click Security, and below Connected devices click Show sessions. You'll find a list of devices that have logged in to your account, including the date and location of the login. Click End activity to revoke access on any sessions that you do not recognize. You end each session one by one. The list isn’t in the apps: At the moment, you'll need to use your desktop to see recent logins. So on a phone, open Pinterest on a computer to end a session.

A lost phone, or someone else logged in

Pinterest’s session list is for exactly this: If you think someone else logged in to your Pinterest account, access a list of all recent logins. End the lost phone’s session there, then change your password: Settings › Account management › Password on the web, or Account management › Password in the app. Pinterest’s help doesn’t say that a new password logs your other devices out, so do both. Pinterest does log everyone out by itself when it sees trouble: If we notice any strange activity on your Pinterest account, we'll send you an email, reset your password, and log everyone out (including you). Once you’re safe, it suggests two-factor authentication, connecting Google, an up-to-date email and a password you use nowhere else. Locked out instead of logged out? The Can’t Log In to Pinterest tool has Pinterest’s way back for each case.

Do you need to log out to use another account?

Not always. Pinterest lets you add a second account and move between the two: Connect your Pinterest accounts with different emails so you can easily switch between them. Once you’ve added an account, you can switch between them as long as you remain in the same browser session. The Pinterest Business Account tool has Pinterest’s steps to add one.

FAQ

How do I log out of Pinterest on all devices?
From a computer: Settings › Security › Show sessions, then End activity on each session you don’t recognize. Click End activity to revoke access on any sessions that you do not recognize. Pinterest’s help has no single button that logs out every device at once.
Why can’t I find Show sessions in the Pinterest app?
Because it is on a computer only: At the moment, you'll need to use your desktop to see recent logins.
Does changing my Pinterest password log out my other devices?
Pinterest’s help doesn’t say so. To be sure, end the other sessions in Show sessions as well. When Pinterest itself sees strange activity, it resets your password and logs everyone out, you included.
How do I sign out of Pinterest on my iPhone?
Tap your profile photo at the bottom-right corner, then your profile photo at the top-left corner, scroll down and tap Log out. With a business account, tap your profile photo, then the ellipsis icon at the top-right corner, and scroll down to Log out.
Will I lose my Pins or boards if I log out?
No. Logging out only ends your session on that device. Your account, Pins and boards stay as they are, and you see them again when you log back in. If your Pins and boards look gone after you log back in, you may have made a second account by mistake: the Can’t Log In tool covers that.
Should I log out of Pinterest on a shared computer?
Yes. Pinterest asks you to: Remember to log out if you're done and on a public or shared device to keep your account secure.
