Quick answer: for a vision board party, each guest needs their own board, scissors and glue stick, plus magazines or printed pictures to cut up. How to use it
- Type the number of guests and pick how long. Two hours suits most groups; one hour is tight but works for a small table.
- Paper or phones. A paper night needs the craft supplies. A digital night needs a phone or laptop each and nothing bought: everyone builds on our vision board maker.
- Open "More" for the start time, how many magazines each guest brings, and how long each person gets to share their board.
- Make the invitation. Add a title, a date and a place, pick a color, and save it as a picture or copy it as a message.
What the numbers are
Every number on this page is your own, multiplied out: one board, one pair of scissors and one glue stick for each guest, because everyone makes their own board and nobody should wait. Magazines are the number each guest brings times the guests, and it goes on the invitation so they know. We don't guess at extras you may or may not want, like washi tape, stickers or snacks. Add them to the copied list yourself.
How the evening is timed
- Welcome, about a tenth of the time.
- Intentions: everyone picks the parts of life their board is for and writes three things for each. Our vision board ideas generator helps anyone who is stuck.
- Gather pictures and words: the longest step on paper, since cutting takes time.
- Build the board: whatever time is left, never less than fifteen minutes.
- Share round: the minutes each person gets, times the number of people. When a round of the whole room would take more than a third of the evening, the planner switches to sharing in pairs, everyone at once, then one word each to the room.
It is a starting plan, not a rule. If the plan runs past your time, the page says by how much.
A vision board workshop
For a class, a team day or a community workshop, choose "A class or workshop". The plan is the same, the invitation reads "Vision Board Workshop", and the list calls everyone participants. For a large group, the pairs share round keeps the ending on time.
